Lifetime Limited Warranty


Custom Track Services Inc. Guarantees to provide our entire customer satisfied experience in the selection of our windows covering products. If you are not satisfied, with our workmanship or any of our product please contact us. In Support of our policy we offer our Lifetime Limited Warranty as outline below.

Covered - By a Lifetime Limited Warranty

  • Custom Track window Coverings products are covered for all defects in the materials, our workmanship or failure to operate for as long as the original purchaser owns the product, (Any Conditions caused by any condition, unless shorten periods are provided below).
  • All internal Mechanisms.
  • Components and brackets.
  • Fabric delamination.
  • Operation Cords for a Full 5 Years from the date of Purchase. Repairs and /or replacements will be with or similar Parts.
  • All Motorization components are covered for 3 years from the date of purchases.

Not Covered - By the lifetime Limited Warranty

  • Any condition caused by abnormal wear and tear.
  • Exposure to the elements (Sun Damage, wind, water/moisture) and Discolouring or fading over time.
  • Abuse, Accidents, Misuse or alterations to the original manufactured product.
  • Failure to follow our instructions with respect to proper installations, Cleaning and Maintenance.
  • Shipping or Pickup Charges apply, Cost of removal and to reinstallation also apply.

Except where provincial or territorial law requires otherwise, Custom Track services Inc. and its affiliates:

  • Will not be liable for responsible for any economic loss, expense, or fees, damages to property, personal injury, or any other damages or injury of any kind, including punitive damages, (whether or not suffered by the purchaser or other persons) arising out of or related to the design, manufacturing, fabrication, distribution, purchase, installation, use repair or replacement of any of our products; and
  • Will Not be liable to refund any amount paid by the purchaser to Custom Track Services Inc.


The Limitations of liability in this Lifetime Limited Warranty shall apply regardless of whether Custom Track Services Inc. partnership or its affiliates have breached a warranty or condition of sale, have been negligent in any way, or have committed any wrong, whatsoever, except as are result of gross negligence or gross recklessness.

Terms and Conditions

BACK-ORDERS

Occasionally specific products and materials become back-ordered. Notification of back-orders and estimated arrival dates will be provided via fax, phone or e-mail as promptly as possible.

CANCELLATION

Due to the custom nature of our industry, orders accepted by Custom Track Services cannot be cancelled after 48 hours of receipt of the Order Confirmation. If the order is changed after this time, any part of the order that has been manufactured will be invoiced to the client.

RETURNS

Products returned If less than 12 months since original ship date, Custom Track Services will arrange for fee pickup and delivery. If after 12 months, return blinds to Custom Track Services freight must be prepaid. Products returned for any reason must be accompanied by a Return Material Authorization Number (RMA #). Custom Track Services will not assume responsibility for lost or damaged items without RMA #. To receive a RMA #, please call Custom Track Services and have your Company Name, address or invoice number available. RMA's will be cancelled if the package is not received within 30 days. Custom Track Services will not assume responsibility for products sent in without a RMA #. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Please mark the outside of the box with the RMA #. Also remember to securely package any items shipped back to Custom Track Services.

PRODUCT DISCREPANCIES

Any discrepancies regarding the product must be reported to our office within 30 days of receipt of goods. No credits and/or returns will be accepted after this time. Unauthorized credits will not be applied to your account.

FREIGHT POLICY

All prices quoted are F.O.B. our plant unless specified. Custom Track Services is not responsible for any damage caused by the transportation company. Custom Track Services shall not be held liable for transportation charges, labour or installation charges, nor for damage in transit due to handling, or other conditions outside the company's control.



Warranty


Who is covered?

The warranty is extended to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

What is covered?

Materials and workmanship.

What is not covered?

  • Environmental damage (humidity, UV, temperature, animal abuse, etc.).
  • Acts of God (flood, tornadoes, fires, etc.).
  • Improper handling or installation.
  • Costs associated with labour for any purpose, product removal, product installation, shipping or transportation, trips to or from product destination, or other incidental or consequential damages.


Remedy

If a Custom Track Services product is found to be defective under the warranty, Custom Track Services will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product at no charge. Note: Fabric and/or wood colours vary from dye lot to dye lot and may not exactly match sample swatch or previous purchases. Discontinued items will be repaired or replaced with an equivalent product, based on current availability.

How long is the coverage period?

The warranty is valid for a period of five (5) years on all commercial products excluding the following: Wood Blinds with UV varnish - three (3) years;

Where can I have my window coverings repaired?

For warranty or repair service, please contact the Contractor, Installer or us directly (Custom Track Services). Your representative will work with us to promptly repair and/or replace any defective parts or components. If your representative or contractor is no longer in business, please contact us directly.

Please note, our warranty does not include any costs associated with the removal or reinstallation of product(s) or any applicable freight costs.

I'm not happy with the product I ordered, can I exchange it?

All Custom Track Services products are custom made and therefore are not returnable or exchangeable unless they are defective according to our Limited Lifetime Warranty. However, you can discuss your concerns with us to determine what the possible solutions are.


How do I measure for an inside or outside mount?

We recommend that we arrange for a professional to measure your windows, if you'd like to do it yourself, below are some general guidelines:

Inside Mount (IB)

Measure the width inside the window opening at the top, middle and bottom. The top measurement is critical because the head rail must fit! Record the actual dimension of the shortest width to the nearest one eighth of an inch.

Measure the height inside the window opening at left, right and center. Record the actual dimension of the shortest height to the nearest one eighth of an inch. Also measure the window on its diagonals. If the two diagonal dimensions are not exactly the same, it may be necessary to specify an outside mount for optimal fit, light control and privacy.

The ordered width should ensure a precise fit for the head rail and allow proper operation of the shade. If widths in the window vary, order the minimum width if necessary to allow the shade to raise and lower properly.

The ordered height should ensure clean operation at the base of the window as well as provide maximum privacy and light control.

Note: Be sure the window opening is deep enough to install the mounting bracket.


Outside Mount (OB)

Measure the desired width and height. To minimize light leakage, the shade should overlap the window opening at least 2" on each side and at the bottom.

When measuring the height, take into account the requirements for mounting the bracket attachment.

I have young children and safety is a big concern for me. What Custom Track Services products should I consider?

All Custom Track Services products are designed with safety in mind, and provide standard or optional safety features. If you select a window treatment in the Products section, you will see information about what lifting systems and motorization options are available for that product.

Where is your showroom located with the selection of all fabrics and colours?

We are located on 50 Northline Road, Unit #7, (on Bermondsey Rd.) Currently we do not have fabric or colour charts available online. We recommend you visit our showroom. We have a wide selection of fabrics and colours at our local Custom Track Services location.
